Learn More About the AirJet Shower Drying System

THE SHOWER ELEVATED
THE WET ROOM PERFECTED
THE STEAM ROOM TRANSFORMED

Simplicity in the shower,
after the shower.

Everyone talks about the shower, the water jets, the rain head, etc. But what about when the shower ends and it needs to dry? That’s where we come in – your showers’ new best friend, the AIRMADA AirJet Shower Drying System.

It’s the perfect anecdote and a must-have for every steam shower. Eliminate the steam and humidity. While less than 2” in diameter, the strategically placed jets gently dry the floor and shower compartment — simply, quickly, beautifully.

The AirJet helps dries your shower in minutes... not hours.

The typical shower takes 5 to 7 hours to dry. The AirJet Shower Drying System significantly reduces that drying time!

The AirJet System is built directly into the ceiling and walls of your shower. Depending on the size of your shower space, four to twenty threaded AirJet nozzles set flush to the shower surface. A hidden-behind-the-walls three-quarter-inch I.D. hose connects to each of the nozzles and then goes to a manifold, which is hooked to AIRMADA's AirMax Whisper blower with 2-inch plumbing. The AirMax Whisper blower can be located virtually anywhere up to 50 feet from the shower.

The AIRMADA system is clean and simple. It uses just air to solve a problem — wet and moldy showers — which in the past has required ongoing diligence with a squeegee, towel drying and harsh chemicals. Finally there's an opportunity to break the mold and stave off the repercussions of wet showers with jet-powered air from AIRMADA!

Designer Nozzles To Elevate Your Shower

AirJet Shower Drying System Nozzles are available in eight designer finishes and both directional and non-directional nozzles based on application.

FAQs

Airmada Air Jet Shower Drying System

What does the AirJet Shower Drying System do?

Our patented shower drying system brings forced air into the shower through airjet nozzles placed around the space. This helps to prevent mold, mildew, slippery floors, reduce after shower humidity, and the after-shower smell. It also works to reduce heavy scrubbing, and the use of harsh chemicals.

Does this mean I don’t have to clean my shower?

No. You still need to regularly clean your shower. Our system works to prevent mold and mildew from happening in the first place, which will reduce or eliminate the need for harsh chemicals and make the space easier to clean.

Does this replace a bathroom fan?

You will always want a bathroom fan. The AirJet system brings air into the space to dry the surfaces, and the bathroom fan then works to remove that air.

What are other uses for the AirJet Shower Drying System?

This system can be used in dog baths, above mirrors, low on the wall to dry areas near a bathtub, in a wet room, mud room, outdoor shower, gyms, spas, hotels, and any other area that is prone to moisture issues or slippery surfaces. Our system can also be used above windows that tend to gather condensation.

How does the AirJet System work with glass?

It really depends on the environment and the water in your area. For perfect glass we suggest ordering the AirPocket Door. We always recommend a protective treatment/coating on the glass, and for areas of hard water, using a water softener for optimal glass results. For most people that want perfect looking glass, periodic squeegeeing is necessary.

How do I know what kind of system I need?

We custom design each AirJet Shower Drying System to individually fit your exact space and needs. We focus air on the walls, floor, benches and ceiling (steam shower application) Please contact your local showroom or fill out our online estimate form for details.

Vertical Install

For showers with ceilings over 10’ or for areas where the space above the shower cannot be accessed, we use vertical nozzle placement.

When should the system be installed?

It is best installed at rough in, after plumbing. Rough in nozzle bases are attached to framing and the manifold is attached to the framing above the shower space. See our step-by-step installation manual for more info.

How will my installer know where to put the nozzles?

Your custom layout includes a drawing that will come with your AirJet Shower Drying System. Our team is always available to assist during install.

Where should the blower be placed?

The motor can be installed up to 50’ from the shower in a conditioned space within the house, that way it is not bringing in humidity or cold air. Good locations are mechanical room, conditioned space in a garage, laundry room, closet, finished attic, or cupboard. The blower draws air from around it, so it needs to be placed in a large enough space to take in air from around it. The motor needs to be accessible in case it needs to be serviced. Always follow your local codes for HVAC appliances in spaces. Some insulation material is not appropriate around mechanical HVAC devices.

How far can the Air Max Blower be plumbed away from the shower?

You can plumb as far as 50 feet away. If your job requires it to be farther, we recommend contacting us to discuss it further.

What if my rough-in nozzle is installed too shallow and the finished nozzle head doesn’t screw in?

Sometimes the selection of finish surfaces can change after the rough in nozzles are installed. We sell extended nozzle trim. Contact us for details

Can I use a different timer with the AirJet system?

All shower drying systems come with a relay which is installed near the blower motor. The relay allows you to swap out the timer switch.
