Mold Resources

Great Plains Laboratory is a good place to start! This organization offers comprehensive testing to assess your exposure to common environmental toxins and will help you understand the toxic load of your body.

The best option is to consult with a local functional medicine doctor and ask them if they perform tests from Great Plains Labs. Keep in mind that not all doctors are created equal, though. Some may be unfamiliar with mold toxicity, testing, and how to detox from this indoor contaminant. The professional who helps you should understand how exposure can impact your body and have a protocol plan to detox all of the particles from your body.

There are also online consulting methods available where Great Plains Labs will mail you test kits and then you’ll mail them straight to the lab.

Keep in mind as well that in order to heal your body, you’ve also got to eliminate the root cause of exposure. If your doctor discovers that mold is your problem, you need to take a close look at your indoor spaces to determine where that exposure is coming from. You can’t completely heal when you’re constantly in an indoor space that’s triggering the problem.

The best way to accomplish this is to hire a qualified mold inspector
